DNA stands for Deoxyribonucleic acid, which is the hereditary material in humans and almost all other organisms. Nearly every cell in a person’s body has the same DNA.
DNA is a complex molecule that contains all of the information necessary to build and maintain an organism. All living things have DNA within their cells.
Each gene is made of DNA. The structure and arrangement of atoms in this molecule determine what the gene instructs the cell of your body to do, and what many of your characteristics will be.
DNA is a self replicating material that is in nearly every living organisms as the main constituent of chromosomes. Nearly every cell in a persons body has the same DNA.
