What is DNA used for?
DNA is used in DNA profiling which is a technique employed by forensic scientists to assist in the identification of individuals by their respective DNA profiles.
DNA contains the genetic make-up or properties of all living things. It contains information or codes necessary for cellular activity, like in the formation of proteins and RNA. The parts of the DNA that contains genetic codes are called genes.
